This is a Rails app

Everything you just tapped — the tab bar, the nav-bar buttons, the sheet, Face ID, the haptics — is declared in ERB and one YAML file. There is no Swift or Kotlin behind it. The same code renders in a browser, where the native parts quietly become ordinary HTML.

The tab bar

A tabs: list the app serves over HTTP, so changing one ships with a deploy rather than an app-store release.

The nav buttons and the ⋯ menu

everywhere_nav_button and everywhere_nav_menu. They render a real link; the shell lifts it into native chrome and taps click it back.

Your notes

Everywhere.storage — UserDefaults on the phone, localStorage in a browser. They never reach a server.
